23 weeks and 23 months!

Well my friends I am pretty peeved at myself for not realizing sooner, when these pics were taken, that at the same time I am 23 weeks pregnant with baby boy #2, my sweet lil prince William is 23 months old! Welp, cant always be perfect right? ;)

Also, its certainly not my first realization that with two children some things get forgotten. I have been looking forward to my doctor appointment today, I haven't been in 5.5 weeks since we found out it was a boy at our big ultrasound so I was ready to talk about my baby boy. My appointment was at 9:30 this morning so during a crazy morning at work when I glanced down at my clock to see it say 9:38... I know I have something I need to do, and it literally took me minutes to realize, grab my purse, and run out the door!

Ahh, never a dull moment that's for sure. Good news is all is well with baby and myself, I got measured for the first time today and I measure right at 23 weeks, heartbeat 159bpm. I have a few more appointments with my doctor and then I will see a new doctor, the one who might deliver me. After Will my doctor stopped delivering, and we agreed today it'd be best for me to finish the end of the pregnancy with a delivering doc. I'm fine with all this considering I'd never met the woman who delivered Will and all was perfect.

23 weeks
Total weight gain: Up 7-8 pounds!
Continuing symptoms: Back pain, bad at night, can barley lift Will, and moving furniture and things we do on a nightly basis are getting unbearable. I invested in a heating pad for work and I sit with it on my back a few times a day.
New Symptom: None really, light headed if I get up too fast. But really I'm feeling great! Taking full advantage of that now!
Maternity clothes: Pretty much everything is maternity, except some tops. Its too cold to keep wearing dresses without leggins and I only have a couple "leggin appropriate" dresses
Sleep: some nights good, when its good I sleep like a rock, other nights bad, doesn't matter what wakes me up, baby, Will, Boomer, Luke, once up it takes hours upon hours to get back to sleep and by that point I have to be up anyway!
What I'm eating: normal stuff, trying to limit sodium but last night I slipped up and let myself have Chinese takeout, sodium city!
Cravings: Still sweets.... still wine.
Movement: We have a kicker, or a karate boy, whatever he is this boy likes to move, we can actually see my stomach move now which is kinda cool
Special Pregnancy Moment: The fact that Will lifts my shirt and says, "Hi baby!" "I love you" "brother" melts my heart every.single.time.
Also, seeing the nursery START to come together is fun :)

Onto the many face and personality's of a 23 month older brother....

It's a BOY!

That's right its another sweet baby boy for us!
After the plan for the day changed for the upteenth time in a row I really had no idea what this day had in store for us. Since I was so unsure on finding out the gender I wanted to do a gender reveal, after all the planning I found out my sister was probably going to get induced on that day, then after that not happening and Luke and I both being super busy with work I decided to scratch that and find out just us. Simple. Personal. Perfect. I know God had a plan because all worked out perfectly.
Everything with this pregnancy has been new and different from the last which kinda had me thinking girl, then when everyone {including big bro Will} kept saying girl I guess we just kind of figured that's what it was. We were just excited to know either way and of course to see our sweet little baby again (haven't seen since 8 weeks)
The ultrasound tech quickly started running through some of the anatomy scan, with some great shots of the spinal cord, and proceeded to make sure we wanted to know the sex, I remember Luke almost yelling yes, before jumping for joy as she announced the "male parts" After his explosion mini happy dance he looked at me with concerned eyes thinking I was disappointed; but with a tear rolling down my cheek I knew I was destined to be a wonderful mother to raise sweet boys, and boy or girl, pink or blue, the tears kept welling up as we went over and over your sweet tiny little perfectly growing body... God is so so good.
Everything looks great and measuring right on track, at 19 weeks my little boy is 9 ounces, the rest of the appointment went well I am up another 2 pounds and Luke got to hear the sweet heart beating away.
I went to pick up some balloons to tell Will he'd be getting a brother and Luke picked us up pf changs (one of my many cravings) We had a great night talking all about brothers and names, every once in a while I would catch myself with a tear in my eye thinking how excited I now was to meet and hold this new little baby, and for the first time in a long time I slept a sweet slumber dreaming of my new little prince.
We love you baby boy, you may not have a name for a while, but we are so head over heels excited to meet you!.

Long leg!
Boy parts!

Telling Luke, and spreading cheer!

WWill tasting dippin dots, and blue raspberry snocone for the first time, he was a big fan of both!

The way I see it when you have news, you have one of two choices, blurt it out or make it special. If it was ME receiving the news I'd want it to be done in some sort of memorable way, how often do you get this kind of news? That being said, I am the worst secret keeper in the history of secret keepers.... ask anyone. I took the test at about 4 pm on a Wednesday, Luke would be home around 5:30, after my initial excitement/freak out/bawl like a baby all the happy tears I called Luke and told him I thought it'd be fun if we fore go the normal dinner routine and go have snocones with Will. Of course he was on board! I hurried up to the window and insisted Luke get Will out and the stroller {so many things should of given this all away} When the lady called our order and Luke went up to get it there were three bowls instead of two, and in the third... a "pregnant" test! Luke was shocked at first and then I think a little embarrassed, he doesn't like any attention, and I'm sure the 16 year old girl will be telling her friends about the "crazy pregnant lady" but it was a fun memorable way we all got to share in telling Dada the fun, exciting news of baby #2!

We told my parents together when we went to the farm for the day, it was great to tell them both together and see both of their reactions. My mom is very excited for us, and dad may be more worried about how much work I'll be taking off. I had Will give Luke's mom {gigi} a poem about a newborn, she got it right away and is bursting with excitement over a new grand baby! We told Luke's dad and some of his other family in person with the "big brother" shirt! My friends also found out when they were over for Michelle's sprinkle via big bro shirt, videos of both on youtube. And countless texts and pictures have been sent out. We've been so excited to share our blessed news with all we love, and I think finally, the secret is out... if we haven't told it, my protruding belly has!

Introducing Baby Wilson #2!

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." ~Psalm 139.13

Baby Wilson #2 is fully cooking in my belly, and at 10 weeks I am finally comfortable enough to talk about it with everyone! Though it is not facebook official yet {lol} it will be very soon, when I hear that sweet heart-beating away at my next appointment!
I cant begin to put into words the amount of heart bursting love I already have for this tiny little sweet pea growing inside me. With just one baby I always wondered how I would have enough love for another, would everything be as exciting the second go around, etc.... and I have to say, God is good, God is so so good. From the second I saw those pink lines my heart doubled in size and my world was forever changed, not only did I have one dear sweet miracle I get to kiss and hold everyday, I was being given another amazing creation. From that second on, doubts vanished, excitement grew, and we were now a family of four.
Luke went to the doctor with me at 8 weeks; everything looked great! We saw a tiny little heart flickering away, and that was it, the reassurance I needed. I found out at 3 1/2 weeks so it was a long wait to see that sweet sight!

"From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another." ~
John 1:16

I don't know how many children we will have, its not really up to me. I have always known I wanted Will to have at least one sibling.
I love my sister, we are very different indeed, but there is just something about having a sister, something very special. We share a lot of thoughts, and memories only we could ever explain, and there's just something special about that. Luke has three brothers all of which he is close to in all very different ways, but one similarity in these boys... They always, always have each others backs. There's something very special about family and sibling bonds, and the Wilson family has definitely shown me this.

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord answered my prayer"

Due on January 22, this pregnancy will be the polar opposite of Will's, and isn't that the truth! So far the first half of the first trimester I have been very sick, the doctor gave me a shot of B6 and it seemed to help a little. Now the second half the extreme fatigue has set in, I forgot about this, like a tidal wave over you. I talk to Grandma Ad often and thank her and God for this amazing gift I have been given, but ask that please, let me be feeling better in the next two weeks! My active little toddler and a tired momma is not a good combo!
Once the initial excitement and shock settled down, I did what I do best... started planning. I've researched double strollers, started my lists of names, and thought for hours on the pros and cons of finding out vs. not finding out the sex. With still no decisions on any, it always makes me feel better to research, plan, and talk things out. Some {my sister Crystal} have a gut feeling boy, while others {Luke's step sister} are already buying pink! Me... I really don't care, I thought I'd want my girl, I'm a girly girl and it would be great to have a little mini me, however there's just something about that sweet mommas boy who stole my heart, and I'd take another one in a heartbeat!

So welcome welcome with huge open arms my little sweet pea, we're so happy and excited to get to know you!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above...

So much to celebrate this Fathers Day!

We had a great fathers day weekend! It was eventful, relaxing, tiring, filling, and amazing... God is so good, last year Will was just getting into his big boy carseat, and was using an exersauser. He's grown so much! And the year before that we were on our babymoon!

Friday I left work early and started on a project of some heavy duty cleaning to our floors. Our WHOLE first floor is hardwood and with a build up of cleaners from the years they have a film/haze on them I couldn't take anymore... It was a LONG project but I was excited to get started. Then I picked up Will after his nap and took him to a splash pad where he played for hours.
Saturday Luke was in a golf tournament all day, Will and I played and I finished the floors while Luke's step sister took him swimming (insert huge thank you!) Its just seriously amazing what one momma can get accomplished with both boys out of the house for a few hours!
these floors take a beating!

dada and will playing the golf tee game at cracker barrel on fathers day

I knew, I just knew, Luke would be draggin Sunday morning.... but Will was up at 7 like clockwork and I wanted to spend the morning just us three. We went to cracker barrel (one of Luke's favorites we never go to) had a great breakfast the three of us, then starbucks in hard off to the playground to burn off a little energy.  We went home and showered dada with gifts two personally made cards, a framed picture of will with a sweet poem, and a travel fishing pole, {looks kinda like a pen!} to use on his upcoming golf trip to Michigan. Then he was off for a massage while Will and I layed down. Sunday afternoon we met at Luke's brothers for a bbq with their family and Luke's dad.
The day would of been complete if we could of seen my dad, but you can only fit so much in one day, and my parents are all about us not driving all around town on days like this {thank god}

special poem

helping momma make desert for the bbq

After a long day my sweet sleepy boy took a book to bed {for the first time}and slept a sweet slumber dreaming of a perfect day with his perfect daddy.... as I watched him in the monitor, and listened to Luke mow outside I thanked my lucky stars {grandma ad} and thanked God as I rubbed my belly and counted my blessings.... that's right, it was a very special Fathers day for us indeed, with our sweet William and our new lil sweetpea on the way!

Sweet Baby Wilson #2  due: Jan 22 2013

"Walk a little slower Daddy,"
said a child so small,
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.

Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.

Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.

And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true,
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."
